The VAI Pruner finds licenses using an environment variable XILINXD_LICENSE_FILE. After getting the license file, set the license path or directory in the environment variable XILINXD_LICENSE_FILE.

To specify a particular license file, run the following command in your shell:
export XILINXD_LICENSE_FILE=/home/user/license.lic
To specify all .lic files found in a directory, run the following command:
export XILINXD_LICENSE_FILE=/home/user/license_dir
