Common tar files are provided for Zynq, Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, and Versal platforms. This each ‘common tar file’ contains a prebuilt Linux kernel and a root file system and can be used the respective Zynq, Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, and Versal boards for embedded developers.
Copy these files to an SD flash card along with the platform specific boot image (BOOT.BIN) available from the Vitis IDE or from the board-specific PetaLinux BSP prebuilts. For more information, see the readme file inside the common tar.
Note: Installing PetaLinux tools is not
necessary to use the common images.
