The DAP supports Arm CoreSight debug and trace of the PS. This includes both secure and non-secure debug support. The DAP also interfaces to external Arm debug tools via JTAG, according to Arm debug interface version 5 (ADIv5). TAP has access via JTAG Boundary Scan to the ERROR_STATUS register containing various error and alarm status bits. The Vitis System Debugger provides an integrated design environment (IDE) for PS debug with bare-metal and Linux-based applications.
