Range of objects
Click a primary object, then press and hold the Shift key and select the last object in a range of elements from a tree or table view.

All objects
Use the Select Area cursor to select all the objects in an area of a graphical view. Alternatively, most windows support the Ctrl+A keyboard shortcut.

The Selection window (shown in the following figure) displays the list of currently selected objects. You can sort, deselect, or mark objects from this window. The list updates dynamically as you manipulate objects. To open the Selection window, select Window > Selection.
