The MDIO ports of the core (see Table 1 ) can be connected to the MDIO ports of an internally integrated physical layer device. For example, the MDIO ports of the Ethernet 1G/2.5G PCS/PMA or SGMII from AMD(see Interfacing to Other AMD Ethernet Cores).
