The TEMAC solution can provide support for 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps speed operation, 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps speed operation, and full tri-speed operation (10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1 Gbps speed capability). The choice available for speed support selection is dependent on the chosen physical interface:
- Only Internal mode is available when the MAC data rate is set to 2.5 Gbps.
- If the MAC data rate is set to 1 Gbps and GMII, RGMII, or Internal is selected, then the tri-speed operation and 1 Gbps operation are available for selection.
- If the MAC data rate is set to 1 Gbps and MII is selected, then only 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps operation is available.
