Image sensor data sheets specify whether the starting position, pixel(0,0), of the Bayer sampling grid is on a red-green, or blue-green line, and whether the first pixel is green or not. The Xilinx® Sensor Demosaic IP supports all four possible Bayer phase combinations. Bits 1:0 specify whether the top-left corner of the Bayer sampling grid starts with Green, Red, or Blue Pixel, according to This Figure , which displays top-left corner of the image sample matrix along with the Bayer Phase Register value combinations.
