The DisplayPort TX block is delivered as part of the DisplayPort 1.4 TX Subsystem and contains the following components, also shown in the following figure:

Main Link
Provides delivery of the primary video stream.
Secondary Channel
Integrates the delivery of audio information into the Main Link blanking period.
Link Layer
Responsible for achieving isochronous transport services which includes key features like mapping stream data to link symbols in SST/MST modes of DP 1.4 and 2.x link rates.
PHY Logical Sub-layer
Responsible for scrambling, link training, inserting CDI bits (for 2.x), FEC (for 2.x), pre-coding (for 2.x) etc. as specified by VESA.
AUX Channel
Establishes the dedicated source to sink communication channel.
