The following features of the standard are not supported in the core:
- Multi-MAC controllers support (complex use cases).
- Any other protocol than HDMI 2.1. The current HDMI PHY Controller core supports the same protocol MAC on both the input and output.
- Multiple protocols per instance (for example, two HDMIs in one HDMI PHY Controller).
- Standalone use; it is designed to be used with the AMD HDMI™ 2.1 Transmitter/Receiver Subsystems.
