When the MAC interface (MAC I/F) is enabled, per-channel statistics information for all MAC channels is output onto the MAC statistics TDM interface. This allows the user logic to maintain a set of counters, if desired.
In addition, DCMAC Subsystem maintains a set of internal statistics for the first six channels including packet histogram statistics, as well as internal error statistics.
Similar to the per-port statistics monitoring, a tick mechanism is used to snapshot the internal counters values.
A tick event for all TX channelized statistics is triggered using the
tx_all_channel_mac_pm_tick pin. Completion is indicated using the
tx_all_channel_mac_pm_rdy pin. Likewise, a tick event for all RX
channelized statistics is triggered using the
rx_all_channel_mac_pm_tick pin, while completion is indicated using
the rx_all_channel_mac_pm_rdy pin.
