The egress ("network") side of the DCMAC Subsystem’s independent mode MAC transmit consists of two parts. The first is a channel request component that must be used by the network-side user logic to sequence port requests with the distribution (calendar) and rate dictated by the pipes it needs to fill. The second part is for data movement and consists solely of outputs that relay post-MAC data to the user logic (in response to its requests).
