In addition to configuration through the HSC Subsystem IP Wizard, the HSC Subsystem supports a software-based configuration. Some configuration registers (identified as Type RW ATTR) are persistent between resets, meaning that the value of the configuration register does not change as the result of a reset. This allows the logic from the HSC Subsystem to be reset without having to perform software configuration again. When the device is reprogrammed, these HSC Subsystem Configuration registers are overwritten with the attribute values generated by the HSC Subsystem IP Wizard. Other configuration registers (identified as Type RW) are set to their default values after reset.
