The following is a scenario that you might come across during simulation of the core:

s_axis_tready not asserting
s_axis_tready is asserted only when the metadata (key/IV) for the corresponding packet is received by the core as per the metadata handshake protocol. Ensure that the key handshake has successfully taken place for the corresponding packet. s_axis_tready can also remain deasserted if the pipeline is completely filled and the m_axis_tready is deasserted.
