You can configure the DDRMC using the DDRMC Wizard in the NOC-DDRMC page. Creating a DDRMC using the wizard populates the required DDR I/Os in the I/O page. The following figure shows the DDRMC Configuration wizard.

Figure 1. PDM DDRMC Configuration

The parameters in the DDRMC wizard are:

DRAM Type
This parameter is used to mention the type of DRAM that is used- DIMM, RDIMM and LRDIMM
Standard
Hardened DDR memory controllers support only DDR4, LPDDR4 and LPDDR4x standards.
Channels
The number of DDR channels used. Values range between 1 and 2.
Data Rate
The maximum permitted data rates for standards (also depends upon speed grade of the device) are:
  • DDR4 - 3200 Mbps
  • LPDDR4 - 4266 Mbps
Data Width
The possible values of Data Width are 16, 32, and 64.
ECC
This field represents the 8-bit error correction code. This field can either be set to Enabled or Disabled.
Bandwidth (MBps)
Read and Write bandwidth in MBps (Mega bytes per second). The sum of read and write bandwidth {Data Rate (Mbps)*Data Width} cannot exceed the total bandwidth.
Endpoints
The DDRMC wizard lets you quickly add NoC connectivity with the DDMC and you can select endpoints such as, PMC, PS, CPM, AI Engine, and PL. When selecting the applicable endpoints, the bandwidth entered in the DDRMC wizard is divided equally among them. This can be altered in the NoC page if needed.

Data Pattern and I/O patterns sets the IP settings, that is, the toggle rate for different pins, external termination and capacitance automatically. These values are updated in the IO page to determine I/O power for the corresponding DDR standard.
