This chapter identifies the requirements and configuration procedures for running PTP on one or more Virtual Machines (VM) hosted on VMware ESXi.
sfptpd will synchronize the network adapter clock and system clocks from
multiple VMs to an upstream PTP master clock.
Note: X3 series adapters do not support
VMware ESXi. If you are using them, ignore this chapter.
